“Mockingbirds, Justice and Race:
A Conversation”

The Irving Heritage Society is collaborating with the Irving Public Library to host a panel discussion on the library’s 2014 Big Read selection, To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee.

The panel will include English instructors from Singley Academy, MacArthur High School and UTA. The Pulitzer Prize-winning book, which was made into an award-winning movie, always evokes a lively discussion. The program begins at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 23 in the Central Library auditorium, 801 W. Irving Blvd., following the Heritage Society’s General Meeting which begins at 6:30 p.m. Refreshments will be served and guests are welcomed. For more information, call 972-252-3838.
